The large and sporty stallion, owned by Heinen Stud, continues the tradition of the Webelsgrund Stud. He originates from the direct dam line and was also bred by the breeder family of Webelsgrund's first stallion Impuls. Impuls formed the Trakehner breeding and made the Webelsgrund Stud well-known all over the world. In Petto's mother Insterfee VII descended from Kennedy and is therefore carrying the blood of the elite stallion Michelangelo. She won the 3rd place at the Trakehner Federal Mare Show in 1997 and her class at the Trakehner Landesschau Lower Saxony/North-West in 1998. She also brought the winner stallion In Flagranti in 2001 and the winner mare In Zukunft, both brother and sister of In Petto.
In Petto's first foals were above average in the Rhineland breeding area: Strong and noble foals with excellent movement especially in trot.
Lars Gehrmann, Head Breeding Director of the Trakehner Verband, described the stallion as follows: " ...his sportive qualities correspond excellently with the wishes of the rider. He is amply in lineage and angles of the hindquarters with best croup and athletic muscles. He shows impressive paces and stays in metre continuously. He has a compact and muscular body and four strong and absolutely correct legs." |
